Big changes in the career of Piotr Kuberski. The interim KSW middleweight champion is no longer a fighter for Ankos MMA Poznan. The information was provided by Artur Mazur, and “Qbear” himself was said to have confirmed the reports.
Piotr Kuberski has rapidly grown into one of the biggest stars in Polish MMA since joining the KSW organization. A series of impressive knockouts allowed him to quickly climb to the top of the middleweight category, and later reach for the interim championship belt. It seemed at the time that the next step would be a blockbuster unification bout with Pawel Pawlak.
Recent months, however, have brought a lot of turmoil around “Qbear.” First, there was a high-profile split with the Artnox management group, and the conflict with Artur Gwoździek continues to this day. Subsequent cooperation with the Selected group also did not improve the player’s situation.
During the XTB KSW 118 gala, fans’ attention was drawn to the fact that Kuberski appeared in the corner without coach Andrzej Koscielski. However, after his victory over Michal Michalski and defense of his interim belt, the fighter avoided commenting on his situation.
Piotr Kuberski quits Ankos MMA
The silence of “Qbear” turned out to be a harbinger of major changes. Information on the parting of the player with the club was provided by Artur Mazur.
– A while ago I received information from a very reliable source: Piotr Kuberski is no longer an Ankos MMA fighter. Earlier this week he said goodbye to the club. I have confirmed the news with two other sources ,” wrote editor Mazur on X (formerly Twitter).
The journalist also reported moments later that he had managed to contact the player himself.
– I managed to contact Piotr Kuberski, who confirmed my findings. However, he did not want to comment on the matter, and I respect that.
At this point it is not yet known where Piotr Kuberski will continue his career. However, it is possible that changes in the fighter’s surroundings may also affect the long-awaited unification fight with Pawel Pawlak.
