Adam Niedzwiedz commented on his health condition after the fatal elbow blows he took in his fight against Adrian Zielinski at KSW 108. The fighter confirmed the filing of a protest.
Adam Niedźwiedź fought this past weekend at the KSW 108 gala in Olsztyn. The excellent grappler faced Adrian Zielinski, a representative of the local Arrachion, in the KSW round cage. At one point, as a result of Bear’s good work, the fighters found themselves on the ground.
There, a situation occurred in which Zielinski delivered elbow blows to Niedźwiedz’s head. Some of these punches were undoubtedly illegal, as they hit the back of the head. Referee Lukasz Bosacki, who presided over the duel, even pointed out to Zielinski at one point that he should not hit his rival in the back of the head. Eventually, after a few more blows, Adam Niedzwiedz drifted away, and Adrian Zielinski celebrated the win.
Adam Niedzwiedz posted a long video on his IG, where he talked about the whole situation. The athlete from Katowice commented on the state of his health after receiving elbow blows.
– Howdy, hi everyone I’m recording myself to give a sign simply that everything is ok with me, that I’m already in the cottage. I’m done going to doctors and hospitals. I’m going to have one more CT scan in two weeks to be sure that everything is ok and that this is the end of this adventure. First of all, I want to thank you and pay my respects for supporting me so strongly. I have never felt such support whether in winning or losing. Whether at some injury or something. Here you really stood behind the player with a wall and I am very grateful to you for that.
Adam Niedźwiedź stressed that he has not yet been able to review all messages from friends and fans due to his ill health. Niedźwiedź also confirmed the filing of the protest.
– I really haven’t read all these messages yet, there’s a bunch of it. Today I’m just going to dig it out because if I’m honest I haven’t really wanted to talk to anyone since Saturday. Hence this message, I want to give you a sign that it’s git. So what, yesterday we filed a protest. With this protest too, it took me a long time to think whether to submit it at all. Because the cost of the protest is 4400 I think, so it’s not a small amount. We know how it all looks like, very often these protests are rejected. Even more so in the situation I found myself in. I do not know who will consider it, but we will see.
Later in the video, Adam also talked about his feelings during the fight. The fighter from Katowice noted that the duel was going under his dictation until Adrian Zielinski delivered fatal elbow strikes. Adam Niedzwiedz noted that he appreciated the work of referee Bosacki.
– I would also like to say that for me Lukasz Bosacki is the best referee in Polish MMA. I have a grudge, but I always wanted him to judge my fights. But here it seems to me that he just made some kind of mistake. All these steps are made for someone to simply say “I’m sorry,” because I think that’s what I deserve in this situation. That’s it, I don’t want any win, I don’t want some unknown thing, a green square on Sherdog. I go out there to fight for you guys, to show the beauty of jiu-jitsu, and here it just seems to me that it was definitely not fair, well those punches were not legal. That’s why the protest was filed.
