Jan Ciepłowski has gone through an exceptionally turbulent period outside the cage, which has greatly influenced his approach to the sport. Before his bout at King’s Arena 4, “Jasiu” admitted that his recent problems hadn’t dampened his motivation. On the contrary—today, he wants to make the most of his career even more than before.

Ciepłowski is among the very best in the bantamweight division in Poland. A die-hard ŁKS Łódź fan, he has lost only once in 11 professional fights, during a PFL Europe event. However, his further progress on the international stage was suddenly halted.

Legal problems led to “Jasiu” being taken into custody, and since his release, he has been barred from leaving the country. However, the athlete does not intend to sit idly by and wait for the situation to change; he remains active on the Polish scene.

Ciepłowski: “It didn’t get me down at all”

In July, Ciepłowski returned to competition and won at the DWM event. His next fight is coming up this Saturday at King’s Arena 4, where he will compete in front of his home crowd in Łódź.

In a post prepared for the organization’s social media, “Jasiu” reflected on the events of recent months. He admitted that the difficult situation had made him realize how quickly one can lose something that previously seemed taken for granted.

– I definitely appreciated what was going on around me, didn’t I? That you can lose something in an instant… But it didn’t get me down at all—if I’m being honest, it actually motivated me even more.

Ciepłowski emphasized that right now he is focusing above all on enjoying sports more and not putting things off.

– I started to appreciate what was happening around me and began to enjoy it all even more. I know time marches on relentlessly, but I see that I’m getting older every year, so I want to squeeze it like a lemon—get as much out of it as possible and enjoy it. So that later I won’t regret having let anything slip away.

Although “Jaś’s” international plans will have to wait for now, the athlete himself isn’t wasting any time. King’s Arena 4 will be another opportunity to stay in top form and make the most of his momentum.
