Alexandr Romanov a strong heavyweight who performed well in the UFC octagon was unexpectedly released a few days after his victory at the Edmonton gala.
Moldovan Alexandr Romanov has fought ten fights in the UFC organization. There are many indications that for the time being he will not improve his perfect record. Romanov won seven fights in the best MMA league in the world and there was no indication that he would have to say goodbye to the UFC. However, it appears that the fighter has fulfilled his contract and has not received a new offer.
Last weekend at a gala in Edmonton, Canada, the 33-year-old fighter added another victory to his record. Romanov boasts a record of 18 wins and just three losses, and is still a relatively young fighter for the royal weight class.
This is a very surprising situation, as Romanov in his performances was creative on the ground and was able to “take out” clever submissions. It should also be noted that losses to Jailton Almeida, Alexander Volkov and an even though lost fight with Marcin Tybura certainly do not bring disgrace to the Moldovan.
King Kong will now be a greedy morsel for many organizations. It seems that KSW sports director Wojslaw Rysiewski should also be interested in Romanov’s services. Moldovan fighters have already performed successfully in Europe’s top organization.
