Arkadiusz Wrzosek, however, will fight at the KSW 100 gala in Gliwice. Wrzosek has jumped on the schedule, and we already know the name of the Varsovian’s opponent.
When the KSW 100 gala was planned a few months back , Arkadiusz Wrzosek was one of the fighters who quickly confirmed his participation in the event. Later, however, Arek relayed that he would not be on the fight card, and fans speculated that Wrzosek would return to action at the KSW 102 gala, to be held in Radom.
Mariusz Pudzianowski announced his withdrawal from the gala last week, which meant that KSW owners and the sporting director had to look for another juxtaposition that would attract fans to the stands and in front of their TV sets. They didn’t have to wait long and two heavyweight fighters were quickly contacted.
Arkadiusz Wrzosek has in the past thought about a duel with Szymon Bajor. However, such a fight will not happen. For on November 16 at KSW 100 in Gliwice, Wrzosek will face Matheus Scheffel, i.e. the defeated Rzeszowian. Arek thus killed two birds with one stone, as he got a highly ranked experienced rival, who is strictly an MMA fighter.
Matheus Scheffel is ranked third in the KSW rankings and in the round cage of the Polish federation the Brazilian has fought two fights so far. In his first appearance Scheffel succumbed to Darko Stosic, while in his second appearance he defeated the aforementioned Bajor.
Arkadiusz Wrzosek is currently ranked ninth in the KSW rankings in the royal weight class. Wrzosek has so far fought five fights in KSW, all of which he has won, finishing as many as four of his rivals before time. In his last appearance, Wrzosek quickly knocked out Artur Szpilka.
The Arkadiusz Wrzosek vs Matheus Scheffel fight will take place on November 16 at KSW 100 at the PreZero Arena in Gliwice. The heavyweight duel will be part of the main fight card of the anniversary event.
