Arman Tsarukyan is calling for Paddy Pimblett to be removed from the UFC rankings. The top fighter in the lightweight division ridiculed the Englishman’s achievements.
Arman Tsarukyan will return to competition this Saturday at the UFC gala in Qatar. Long not seen in action, the fighter has recently been focusing on grappling starts, where he has defeated well-known and experienced fighters time and time again.
Arman was scheduled to fight for the lightweight division belt in January, but withdrew from the Los Angeles gala just before the event due to an alleged back injury. At the time, many believed that the Armenian-born fighter simply had trouble making weight and dropped out of the contest.
Arman Tsarukyan fired back on the OverDogs podcast and calls for Paddy Pimblett to be removed from the UFC roster.
– He needs to be removed from the rankings, he doesn’t even deserve to be in the top 10. He beat Chandler who had three losses in a row, he beat Green who also had losses. He won against Tony Ferguson, he has 8 losses in a row. That’s crazy! And what do you want to give this guy a belt fight now?
Tsarukyan also drew attention to the fact that Pimblett records consecutive promotions in the rankings despite the fact that he is not fighting. Listed at number one in the lightweight division, Ahalkalakets expressed his dissatisfaction with this situation.
