Arman Tsarukyan has listed the names of three rivals he is ready to fight in the coming months.
Arman Tsarukyan was scheduled to fight for the UFC championship belt at the UFC 311 gala in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the Armenian-born fighter suffered a back injury that ruled him out at the last minute. Dana White was very unhappy about the situation. Tsarukyan thus lost his chance for a direct rematch and a title fight with Islam Makhachev.
Arman Tsarukyan has maintained his high ranking status, however, in his next fight he will have to face someone else and prove his worth. The fighter in a recent interview with The Schmo talked about his health condition.
– With my back everything is ok, I am ready. If they give me a fight in May or at the end of April it will be great.
When asked about potential rivals, Arman mentioned three names. He realizes that two options are the most likely.
– I want to fight top contenders. I want someone top five like Gaethje or Oliveira. Justin wants to fight for the belt, but I doubt he will get such a fight. He will probably have to beat someone else from the top, so fighting me makes sense. It would be unfair if he got a duel with Islam out of the blue.
– I think Gaethje will have to beat me or Charles to get such a chance. Ilia Topuria has also joined the fray for the belt. Still, I think the UFC matchmakers will give me Oliveira or Gaethje.
