Artur Beterbiev and Dmitrii Bivol will meet in a major rematch, with as many as four light heavyweight championship belts at stake.
Artur Beterbiev and Dmitrii Bivol faced each other for the first time on October 24 at a gala in Riyadh. Beterbiev was the winner after a majority decision by the judges, thus inflicting on Bivol the first defeat of his professional career.
The first bout unified the championship belts of the leading boxing federations. This means that Khasavyurt-born Beterbiev took all the titles and became the king of the light heavyweight division, whose limit in boxing is 175 pounds.
Artur Beterbiev and Dmitrii Bivol will meet again on February 22 in the evening fight of the Last Crescendo gala in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The duel for the title of undisputed champion of the light heavyweight category is, of course, contracted for twelve rounds.
If Beterbiev defends his championship belts he will remain undefeated in his professional career while if Bivol manages to get his revenge he will take away zero from King Arthur’s record.
