Balboa ahead of the GROMDA 19 gala announces that after the change of trainer, his motivation to work has returned, he has a fire in him and sets a clear goal of the GROMDA organization’s belt.
Bartlomiej Domalik will return to the 4×4 ring at the GROMDA 19: Porachunki gala. The excellent bijok in the GROMDA federation was losing only to Mateusz Kubiszyn. After his second loss to Don Diego, the popular Balboa decided to make a number of changes, the most important of which was a change of trainer.
Bartek Domalik, in a long conversation, talked about everything that has been going on in his life recently. Balboa provided a lot of valuable information in the extensive interview. Currently Bartlomiej Domalik is training under the guidance of Piotr Wilczewski.
– I was burnt out, without motivation and desire, and today…. There is a fire in me again. I’m going for my own, and my goal is clear and obvious – the second belt of the GROMDA federation.
Many fans remember you from your kickboxing successes. But for the past few years, number 1 has been bare-knuckle boxing at GROMDA galas. Is that where the decision to change trainers and develop your fist skills came from?
Bartholomew Domalik: At some point I decided that I needed a change in my sports life. I felt burned out, I had no desire or motivation to train. These were the main reasons for parting ways with coach Łukasz Jarosz, with whom I had worked for many years. We said goodbye having a very good relationship and this is also very important.
Piotr Wilczewski has long been regarded as one of Poland’s best boxing coaches.
– Lukasz Jarosz set the bar very high, together we reached a great sporting level. That’s why I was looking for a top-class coach, one under whom I will still climb to the next level.
Are you training more and more intensely than before?
– There are usually 2 training sessions a day, and once on Saturdays. It is difficult to expect a new coach to completely change a 30-year-old fighter. I need a different look, a different idea, a change and the introduction of some details. I hope that already on December 13 we will be able to present to the fans what we have worked out in just a few weeks.
– It may seem simple to someone on the sidelines, but I admit that I sacrificed a lot and it cost me a lot to decide to change my coach and workplace.
Were there any dilemmas?
– I am an athlete who realizes that during a career you have to have character and decide on the best solutions. There is a fire in me again, I enjoy every training session.
Best fight on GROMDA so far?
– It was a duel in the grand finale with David Maximus Zoltaszek. I was very well prepared and had a great fight. Everything came together, and I was a professor in a small ring.
You recently had the opportunity to pair with Mateusz Masternak?
– It was only 2 rounds, because Matthew was preparing for a duel with a manicurist (Floyd Masson – ed.). Therefore, I was not very useful as a sparring partner.
Several GROMDA fighters are trying their hand at professional boxing, albeit with varying success.
– For today I am not looking in the direction of professional fisting, freak fights, etc. I have one clear goal and I am quietly pursuing it. I have won the belt of the International Champion of GROMDA, and now I want to take the trophy from Matthew Don Diego Kubiszyn. Ahead of me is a fight on December 13, then one more, and perhaps in the next one I will fight for the belt. I would like such a plan to come true. I am a very ambitious fighter. I aspire to win this second GROMDY belt as well. Regardless of whether it will be held by Mateusz Kubiszyn or someone else.
