Adrian Bartosiński once again brought up the topic of his past collaboration with Artur Gwoździek. During one of his streams, the KSW champion suggested that, due to mistakes in his contract, his path to the UFC could have looked completely different. The head of Artnox Management quickly responded to his former protégé.
The popular “Bartos” was one of the most important figures at Artnox Management for a long time. This made his subsequent split with Artur Gwoźdź all the more surprising, since from the outside it seemed that the collaboration between the two sides was going very well.
After the coaching change, Bartosiński came under the guidance of Łukasz Orzeł. Since then, there has been increasing speculation about his future outside of KSW and a possible move to the UFC.
Bartosiński on the contract. Gwóźdź responds
Some time ago, “Bartos” took a dig at his former manager. In an interview with InTheCagePL, when asked what he had learned from Gwoźdź, he replied succinctly, “how to match my socks to my outfit.”
At the time, it could have been dismissed as just a joke. However, the KSW champion’s most recent statement casts those words in a slightly different light.
During one of his recent streams, Bartosiński responded to a message regarding his current contract and the possibility of moving to the UFC.
– Bziku, it wasn’t up to me, unfortunately. If it had been up to me, I’d have been in the UFC for two years already. My wonderful former manager didn’t know how to read contracts.
The clip quickly went viral on social media. On the X platform, a user named Michael96PL shared it, tagged Artur Gwoźdź, and asked him for a comment.
Bartosiński’s former manager had no intention of dodging the question. He recalled the circumstances under which “Bartos” signed his contract with KSW.
– Let me just remind you that the contract with KSW was signed after the “Tylko Jeden” show, which he didn’t win, but to get him there, KSW covered half the cost, I put up 5,000, and the rest was raised by the great Champion through a fundraiser to buy him out from FEN. And because they invested and gave him a chance after the show, they included a clause similar to the one “Gamer” had,” wrote the head of Artnox.
We’re talking about a clause that, in practice, could significantly limit a fighter’s ability to leave. That’s because each subsequent victory extends the contract for one more fight, making it difficult to quickly sign with another organization.
Gwóźdź noted, however, that at the time the contract was signed, Bartosiński was very eager to join KSW, and no one forced him to accept the terms that were presented.
“Also, my friends, back then he would have eaten his own s*it just to get into KSW, and no one was holding a gun to his head to make him sign anything, ” Gwóźdź added.
The exchange of views shows that there are still some lingering grievances between the two sides regarding past contractual decisions. Bartosiński suggests that his path to the UFC may have been delayed by unfavorable contract terms, while Gwóźdź points out that the contract was signed under completely different circumstances, when “Bartos” was still fighting to establish himself in KSW.
