Beneil Dariush confirmed that he would accept an offer to rematch Renato Moicano. However, the American indicated that another opponent would be a better option.

Beneil Dariush was scheduled to face Renato Moicano at January’s UFC 311 gala. Unfortunately, this bout did not materialize due to Arman Tsarukyan‘s health problems. The Brazilian was moved to a championship fight with Islam Makhachev while Benny was left without an opponent.

Dana White has promised to take care of Dariush’s situation, and financially the American can’t complain. After all, the UFC boss paid Beneil both his base salary and the victory bonus written into his contract.

However, more weeks pass, and Beneil Dariush still hasn’t returned to the UFC octagon. Benny said in January that ideally he would be able to do another camp and fight in March or April. Time is passing, and journalists decided to ask Dariush if he had any news on his return.

– Matchmakers mentioned that they would be willing to rebook the juxtaposition with Moicano. I’m not against it because I’m not in a place where I can complain. With two losses in a row on my record, I can’t choose my rivals. When Dana said they would take care of me I thought it might be about an opponent ranked higher than me, not behind me. Well, but tough.

Beneil Dariush has his eyes on a strong rival

Beneil Dariush pointed out the name of the opponent he would more like to face. It is a strong name, well known to Polish fans.

– Dan Hooker would be an ideal opponent because he is ranked higher than me and wants to return to competition during International Fight Week. This would be an ideal date for me. I would be very happy if this duel could be put together during the vacations.

– I think I have more skills to win the fight. I think I can box him in the stand-up, I can stifle him on the first floor. I would even be able to beat him in a three-round punch exchange. I don’t see him having any advantage over me.
