The KSW organization announced the best knockout, fight and action of the KSW 100 gala, it was revealed which fighter received a special bonus of 100 thousand zlotys.
The KSW 100th anniversary gala, which took place last weekend, will go down in history as one of the organization’s best events. Both fans, experts and the fighters themselves stressed that the event stood at an incredible level.
Many of the fights ended before time, and in the KSW office they had quite a conundrum over who to reward with bonuses for KSW 100. The problem was bigger than usual, as there was also a special bonus of 100 thousand zlotys at stake.
The best knockout of the evening fell to Andrzej Grzebyk, who sent Wiktor Zalewski to the boards with a blow to the body. The fight of the evening went to the duo of Piotr Kuberski and Damian Janikowski, no surprise here, as the middleweight fighters gave a phenomenal duel, in which both brought out very strong punches and hit their rival. In the end, Kuberski was the winner, who broke Damian at the beginning of the second round.
The extra bonus for the best action of the gala fell the spoils of Mamed Khalidov. The former KSW champion surprised Adrian Bartosinski and pulled out a balacha in the second round of the KSW 100 evening fight. KSW owners and the sporting director decided that the victory over the undefeated champion was most deserving of the award of 100 thousand zlotys.
Those who may feel aggrieved are Arkadiusz Wrzosek, Phil De Fries, Robert Ruchala, Rafal Haratyk and Nicolae Bivol, who also finished their fights before time but did not receive any, even the smallest bonus.
Both Wrzosek and Bivol needed just 25 seconds to knock out their rivals while Phil De Fries cleared Darko Stosic as early as the first round. Haratyk knocked out Marcin Wojcik in the second round, while Robert Ruchala smashed Kacper Formela in the third round.
