Bo Nickal believes he will defeat Khamzat Khimaev, the American wrestler pointed out the Chechen’s main disadvantage, suggesting that it will lead to his rival’s defeat.
Bo Nickal is regarded as one of the greatest talents of the middleweight category. The University of Pennsylvania alumnus comes from a wrestling background, and in 2019 he reached for the World Under-23 title at a tournament in Budapest. In the final bout, Bo defeated Vladikavkaz native Batyrbek Tsakulov.
Nickal closed 2019 with a grappling bout against the great Gordon Ryan, who gave the youngster a lesson in ground fighting. In June 2022, Nickal made his professional MMA debut, and in August and September he fought two fights in Dana White’s Contender Series where he secured a contract with the UFC with quick and impressive victories.
Bo Nickal has so far recorded four wins in the best MMA league in the world. In his last appearance he defeated the well-known and experienced Paul Craig. The 28-year-old is not yet listed in the top 15 of the UFC rankings, however, he has made no secret of his championship aspirations.
Bo Nickal believes he will defeat Khamzat Chimaev in the future. The American, speaking on his channel on the youtube platform, pointed out the Chechen’s main disadvantage.
– I don’t think there is a guy in the world who in the middleweight division could beat me in wrestling. I think Chimaev is good, talented, but his weakest point, is that he gets tired this will prove to be his downfall, especially against me. You will grow weaker and I will grow stronger as the fight goes on.
– And you won’t topple me, which is your greatest asset. You will have to fight me in stand-up. I will probably be able to topple you. I may not be able to keep you grounded the whole fight, but I will hold you for a while, and the longer the fight goes on, the more tired you will be.
