Caio Borralho is eager for a skirmish with Nassourdine Imavov, the talented Brazilian believes he would tire out his rival with the high pace of the fight.

Nassourdine Imavov defeated Israel Adesanya in the evening fight of the UFC gala in Riyadh. The native of Dagestan, the French representative sent his rival to the boards in truly spectacular fashion. Imavov’s impressive win did not escape another of the contenders.

Caio Borralho spoke on Submission Radio about a potential fight with Imavov. The Brazilian also mentioned a possible clash with Robert Whittaker, however, it looks like athletically he is more interested in a skirmish with Imavov.

– I think a fight with Imavov would be great, but Whittaker is also a great matchup. So whatever the UFC decides I am ready. I think if it came to a five-round fight, I would tire him out with my pace.

Caio Borralho is aware of Imavov’s punching power and speed. The Brazilian believes that the initial rounds would certainly be great, however, he says that as time passes, he would be the one to impose pressure and better withstand the clash in terms of conditioning which would bring him the win.

– I have to be aware of his right hand, of course, because it’s very fast, and in this sport timing and speed trumps everything. So I think we can have two great rounds, or maybe even three, but in the fourth, or fifth, I can squeeze him a little bit, and maybe even finish him. I would definitely get the victory.

Given the current UFC ranking situation, it seems that Caio Borralho has pulled ahead of the pack a bit. Imavov mentioned after his win over Adesanya that he wants to fight for the belt. When asked about a possible fight between Nassourdine and Khamzat Chimaev for number one contender status, Dana White admitted that this is one option.
