Caio Borralho has confirmed that he is negotiating a fight with Israel Adesanya at UFC 312 in Sydney. The Brazilian says he respects the former champion and calls him a legend.
Caio Borralho holds a series of sixteen victories in a row. The excellent fighter from Sao Paulo is currently ranked fifth in the middleweight category. Borralho doesn’t look back and wants fights only against opponents ranked ahead of him.
Caio, in an interview with Mike Bohn, said that his team is currently in talks with the UFC to fight Israel Adesanya at the UFC 312 gala in Sydney.
– I want to fight Izzy. We are negotiating with the UFC however nothing has been officially signed yet. This is a fight I want and it makes a lot of sense at this point. Israel Adesanya has fought everyone at the top except me and Nassourdin Imavov. However, the Frenchman gave a mediocre fight recently, so I think I’m the better option. We’ll see how the UFC decides.
An excited Borralho does not intend to play trash-talk. The Brazilian appreciates Israel Adesanya and hopes to finalize negotiations for a fight in February 2025.
– I have a lot of respect for him, he just wants to fight the best. I think Israel is a legend, he’s still at the top that’s why I want to test myself against him.
