Carlos Prates named the favorite for the welterweight championship belt fight, in which Belal Muhammad and Jack Della Maddalena will face off.

– I think Belal will win. Jack Della Maddalena looks like a good fighter, but he once fought Kevin Holland and won by unanimous decision. Then he fought some other guy, I can’t even remember his name, he’s no longer in the UFC, and then he fought Gilbert Burns and lost that fight until he won it in the last minute.

Later, the Fight Nerds representative stressed once again that Belal Muhammad is a fighter who has many victories over strong opponents on his record.

– Okay, that’s cool, but his only good win is the one over Gilbert Burns, and Belal Muhammad has beaten a lot of really good guys. I’d like to see Jack Dell Maddalena as champion, because he’s a standup fighter and all, but I think Belal Muhammad will win. It won’t be a difficult fight.
