Cesar Almeida talked about sparring with Sean Strickland. The Brazilian is training hard ahead of his fight with Cezary Oleksiejczuk at the UFC gala in Las Vegas.
Cesar Almeida will be Cezary Oleksiejczuk‘s opponent at this year’s last UFC gala, which will take place on December 14 at the APEX facility in Las Vegas. It will be a smaller event, but from the perspective of Polish fans very important after all, for the younger of the Oleksiejczuk brothers it will be a debut in the best MMA league in the world.
Cesar Almeida has been in the US for quite some time, where he has been sparring with Michel Pereira, Chris Curtis and Sean Strickland. Nicknamed Cesinha, the fighter has chosen very strong sparring partners ahead of his fight with Cezary Oleksiejczuk. The Brazilian was a guest on MMAJunkie Radio where he said:
– I came here because there are many good, strong guys in my weight category. Tough fighters who are still in the TOP 10 or TOP 15 of the UFC rankings. When you spar with such fighters a person learns to execute a game plan because they have a high level.
Cesinha pointed to Sean Strickland’s personality and the approach to training that he instills in his colleagues on the mat with the experienced American.
– I like to train with Strickland because he is crazy. He’s a big nut, but he has a lot of good energy in him, he has a good heart and he makes the team tight and trains hard every day. He has the mentality of a champion because he says that even if your arms and legs hurt, you have to train every day, without breaks.
Like Almeida, Czarek Oleksiejczuk also had the opportunity to pair up with very strong opponents during the camp. Cezary trained with Caio Borralho and Alex Pereira, among others.
