Cezary Oleksiejczuk is set to appear in the new season of the Contender Series. The Pole will fight for a contract and to join his brother Michal in the UFC organization.
Cezary Oleksiejczuk is to take part in the next season of Dana White’s Contender Series program. Such information was provided by two independent sources. Patrick Danna of the Combat Sports UK website provided the names of several confirmed fighters.
Cezary Oleksiejczuk will fight for a contract in the best MMA league in the world, and if he wins quickly and impressively he should join his brother Michal Oleksiejczuk, who has been fighting in the UFC for years. Cezary has fought in recent years in FEN, PRIME and FNC.
It seemed that the younger of the Oleksiejczuk brothers might stay in the Balkan organization for a while longer, as after his win over Tom Brees he got into a trash talk with Dani Barbir, and also claimed a fight with Aleksandar Ilic. Ultimately, however, it looks like there will finally be a chance for him to land a contract in the UFC.
It won’t be easy to get a contract because among the potential rivals are fighters from very strong clubs. Undefeated Jon Kunneman (10-0), who has won all his fights to date by submission, trains at Elevation Fight Team and Jackson Wink. Undefeated Theo Haig (6-0), who has won all his fights by submission represents American Kickboxing Academy. Cam Rawston of City Kickboxing returns to the DWCS after failing in his first attempt to win a UFC contract.
And that’s not all the participants in the new edition of the Contender Series, which will fight in the middleweight category. It is known that Brazilian Vitor Costa will also be among the fighters.
