Charles Oliveira has named four potential rivals. The former UFC champion is targeting only big box office matchups.

Charles Oliveira is another fighter after Arman Tsarukyan, who in recent days addressed the situation in the lightweight category. The former UFC champion measures high, however, in his statement he omitted the aforementioned Tsarukyan.

Charles Oliveira is clearly setting his sights on fights that, if he wins, will not only give him a pass to a belt clash, but also a correspondingly high payday. The 35-year-old from Sao Paulo admitted that things at the top of the rankings are very confusing.

Charles Oliveira named four rivals

Charles Oliveira has openly indicated four names of potential opponents. The excellent groundskeeper is hoping for fights against opponents with recognizable names and a high level of sportsmanship.

– The situation in the division is complicated. I think I deserve to be the next contender to fight for the belt however I work for the UFC. Talks are ongoing, there are Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje, Ilia Topuria. I’m just waiting for the call. At the moment I don’t know who my next opponent will be, but I know my manager is talking to the UFC.

– I will fight whoever they assign to me. I have great respect for Ilia Topuria, but this is the lightweight category. This is the toughest of the divisions. I have strength in my fists. I have great jiu-jitsu however, I believe I am capable of knocking out Topuria.

To Bronx, he mentioned another name that strongly interests him. There is talk of a rematch, and the Brazilian himself would like the BMF belt to be at stake in such a clash.

– A fight with Max Holloway would be great and I believe it would be my hand that would be raised. In our first fight I suffered an injury that made me unable to continue. We are both aggressive fighters. There would be great hype for this duel. I would like to knock him out and prove that I am the toughest guy in our division. I think I have been proving it for years however, I lack the BMF belt in my collection.

Charles Oliveira and Max Holloway met for the first time in August 2015. The Brazilian suffered an injury in the first round and consequently lost that fight before time.
