Chase Hooper responded to TKO Group CEO Mark Shapiro, who suggested that the UFC should hold more galas at UFC APEX.

Chase Hooper believes that the owners of the UFC organization are in the wrong. Legitimizing a series of four wins in a row, the 25-year-old American decided to address the words of the TKO group’s president. The young fighter was not satisfied with the bosses’ approach to the sport.

Mark Shapiro president of TKO Group in a recent interview said.

– For fans who watch the gala on TV, it doesn’t matter whether the event takes place in a stadium, a sports arena or the small but mighty UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

He went on to add that given the UFC organization’s revenue, it would make more sense to hold more events at UFC Apex instead of traveling around the world.

The words of the head of the TKO Group, which owns the UFC, did not sit well with the young talent fighting in the UFC organization. Chase Hooper quickly countered the CEO’s statement.

– A bit of a wild statement made right after the UFC’s Seattle gala, which had the biggest gate receipts and largest audience for a Fight Night event. Demand to watch MMA events indoors is higher than ever. It may be taking away a bit of revenue, but it’s making the sport thrive and grow in the bigger picture.

Chase Hooper mentioned the UFC gala in Seattle, which was a Fight Night event and yet cranked out gate receipts of $3.8 million. There were 18287 fans in the stands at Climate Pledge Arena.

Clearly, then, there is still demand for big galas in the U.S., especially if they are not held in Las Vegas and New York, where fans tend to show up in greater numbers only for the main fight card.
