Coach Okninski assessed Arkadiusz Wrzosek’s chances in a potential fight with Phil De Fries for the KSW championship belt.
Arkadiusz Wrzosek confidently knocked out Matheus Scheffel at the KSW 100 gala. The kickboxer needed just 25 seconds to send the Brazilian to the boards. Wrzosek is making an impressive career in the KSW federation.
Phil De Fries‘ performance is no less impressive. The Englishman once again defended his KSW heavyweight championship belt. De Fries dealt with Darko Stosic in the first round of the second fight of the evening of the KSW 100 gala.
Trainer Miroslaw Okninski was a guest of Michal Tuszynski and during a long conversation assessed Arkadiusz Wrzosek’s chances against Phil De Fries. The experienced trainer believes that Wrzosek would have to train the first floor for ten years to match the champion in this aspect.
– De Fries has wrestling and BJJ. Wrzosek won’t do anything, he has no chance. We saw the fight with Sarara, he was lying like a pancake. Now he’s showing that he can do levers, get up or something. To match De Fries, you’d have to do groundstroke for 10 years or 15, go to competitions in BJJ, some ADCC and then you can fight De Fries.
– In my opinion, it will be a massacre. Yes 90 to 10. The chance is 10 percent, as Wrzosek will drive in and immediately violate him, but de Fries trains with Aspinall and can’t connect, and even if he does, he will clinch and topple Wrzosek.
