Trainer Miroslaw Okninski has criticized Mariusz Pudzianowski, suggesting that the latter is afraid of a rematch with Szymon Kolecki.

Mariusz Pudzianowski is slowly preparing to return to the KSW federation’s round cage after health problems that caused his withdrawal from the KSW 100th anniversary gala. It is known that among the popular Pudzian ‘s potential rivals is Eddie Hall, who, like the Pole, has had a prolific career in strong man competition and has moved into MMA.

Coach Miroslaw Okninski stuck a pin in Mariusz Pudzianowski in his latest interview with the FanSport portal. The experienced trainer of the Wilanów Combat Sports Academy claims that Pudzian is afraid of Szymon Kołecki.

– There was supposed to be a rematch with Szymon Kolecki. Pudzianowski is afraid of Kolecki. He knows he’s a machine and will win. I’m not surprised either. Something said that he won’t give him a rematch because I train him, that’s why Pudzianowski doesn’t want a fight with Kolecki. If it wasn’t for me, there wouldn’t be this show, this entourage, the bad blood.

Mariusz Pudzianowski and Szymon Kolecki met in the cage for the first time on March 23, 2019 at the KSW 47 gala in Lodz, Poland. At the time, Pudzianowski suffered an injury at the end of the first round and was unable to continue the fight.

A potential rematch between Pudzianowski and Kołecki would probably draw a lot of interest from fans. Szymon Kolecki is currently a fighter in the Babilon MMA organization where he is contracted for another fight. The Olympic gold medalist has high financial demands, and that’s probably why there’s still no agreement on his return to KSW.
