Coach Raubo commented on the result of Julia Szeremeta. The experienced boxing trainer returned to the final of the Olympic Games in Paris.
Coach Zbigniew Raubo in a recent interview with the FanSport portal commented on Julia Szeremeta. In a lengthy interview, the experienced trainer said that when the team was leaving for the Olympics he often mentioned not to complain and that anything is possible.
Raubo also added that although he had heard of Yulia Sheremet, he did not personally know her and does not want to say that he believed in her success.
– I stressed many times in interviews before the Games: stop whining, because we haven’t yet pulled it off, and already you’re all saying we’re weak. I was probably one of the few who said that everything has the right to happen.
– I would be the last idiot if I said that I believed in the success of Yulka Szeremeta. A girl who basically – I knew that some junior European champion, I had heard, but I did not know her personally. – A toddler pops up… She I don’t even know if she knows that she was at the Olympics! The final seems to have gotten to her. If the final opponent had been in the first – second fight, Julka would have won with her. She at the beginning of it was doing everything on crazy papers, spontaneously.
Coach Raubo pointed out that in his opinion, if there had been no fuss and media hype around the athlete then the result of the final could have been different. According to the experienced trainer, the pressure before the final clearly overwhelmed Julia Szeremeta.
– If there had been no Internet, if there had not been such media coverage, Julka might have approached it quite differently. The final battle seems to have overwhelmed her.
