It looks like Colby Covington will soon return to the UFC octagon. The owner of a Florida bar has revealed that Covington will fight in November.
A date for Colby Covington’ s return to the octagon of the UFC organization has unexpectedly leaked online. According to the information, the former welterweight world title challenger is scheduled to fight at November’s UFC 309 gala.
This event is scheduled to take place on November 16 in New York, and the UFC 309 fight of the evening is expected to be Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocić. If Covington is indeed on the gala’s schedule then he will 100% fight on the main card.
However, much will depend on who Chaos’s opponent will be. If Colby faces a much lower ranked opponent then he may have to make way for someone else and will not be in the co-main event. Especially if some additional championship-ranked fight would be added to the card.
It is possible that Dana White and company will decide to put together a superfight. After all, willing to fight Covington is Dustin Poirier. Such a fight would certainly sell well. Above that, it would be a chance for Poirier to reduce the torturous process of dehydration.
