Conor McGregor has revealed how long he is under contract with the UFC organization. The former champion gave the exact number of fights he has left to fulfill his contract.
Conor McGregor was scheduled to return to action in June at UFC 303, but unfortunately the Irishman broke the little toe in his foot and his return has once again been postponed. In recent weeks, McGregor has repeatedly demanded the possibility of a fight in December, but Dana White has openly denied that there is any chance of that happening.
The former champion of the UFC organization seems to have come to terms with his boss’s decision, as he admitted in a recent interview with Ariel Helwani that he will fight in 2025. Incidentally, McGregor said that he would like his opponent to be Michael Chandler and lent him good luck in his clash with Charles Oliveira.
– I’ll be back in 2025. We’ll see. My opponent has a fight scheduled. It is what it is. I’ve accepted it and I’m moving on. My work is training, being in shape and one thing is certain. Whenever, wherever, I will be 100% ready. That’s what I can focus on. Who knows what’s next? It doesn’t matter, it doesn’t matter who the rival will be. The most important thing will be the return. I would like it to be Chandler, I would like to solve it so I wish him all the best with Oliveira, we’ll see how it goes.
Conor McGregor has revealed that he has just two fights left in his contract with the UFC organization. The Irishman admitted that he needs to fight two fights in 2025. This means, therefore, that depending on how the situation in the octagon develops, it could be that at the end of next year the former two-time UFC champion will become a free fighter and could be linked to a new employer.
– I have two fights left and I have to do them in 2025. This is the promised land. I don’t know when it will be exactly, nobody knows that. I am the fighter who generates the most interest on this planet. We’ll see what happens after these two fights, whether I’ll be a free agent, I’m not sure what will happen.
