Corey Anderson has relayed that his third fight against Vadim Nemkov has been taken off the schedule for Bellator’s Dubai gala. The American received word that the Russian refused to fight.

Corey Anderson and Vadim Nemkov were scheduled to face each other for the third time on January 25 at Bellator‘s gala in Dubai. The Russian was originally scheduled to fight Ante Delija, but the Croatian withdrew from the event due to injury. In his place, the PFL owners threw the American into the schedule.

Corey Anderson has delivered bad news to fans. The American suggests that Vadim Nemkov has chickened out and does not want to take up the gauntlet. Anderson received a message from the matchmaker.

– The fight is canceled, and as I was relayed to me by leading people in the PFL/Bellator it is Nemkov who is whining like a child. First he agreed to fight me, and then he refused because I pose too great a challenge.

– But wait because there’s more. It turns out that he wants to stay on the card and face a weaker opponent. Last time his corner said that I didn’t deserve to fight Vadim, and later when I performed well they claimed that Nemkov is now fighting at heavyweight. You have excuses all the time, what will you say this time as I agreed to move higher for the fight?

The Russian’s camp has not addressed Anderson’s words so far. The Russian hasn’t lost a fight since June 2017, and it seems that he was simply expecting a skirmish with a more well-known name than the American. Especially considering the fact that in both the PFL and Bellator there is someone to choose from when it comes to the heavyweight category.
