Dana White reacted to the deal between Turki Alalshikh and Canelo Alvarez. The UFC chief stated that the Saudis control boxing and are on a different level.
Last Friday there were scenes straight out of a good Hollywood movie. Canelo Alvarez was one of the authors of an extremely interesting scenario. The world champion was close to signing a contract for a fight with Jake Paul, however, Turki Alalshikh entered the game, who made the Mexican an offer that could not be refused.
Canelo Alvarez has tied himself to the Saudis with a four-fight contract, the first of which is scheduled to take place in Riyadh in May. Saul will face undefeated William Scull and put the IBF, WBC and WBO super middleweight division championship belts on the line.
Journalists after the UFC 312 gala asked UFC President Dana White, who works with Turki on UFC events in Saudi Arabia, about the situation. The head of the UFC organization reacted to this information with words.
– Listen they control boxing at the moment. I think it’s easy for them to snatch up fighters. I don’t know the details of the deal, but I’m sure the Saudis had no trouble outbidding Jake Paul and MVP. Turks and his people are on a different level. I will say more it is a different universe as far as levels are concerned.
