Dana White has responded to fan criticism. The UFC chief believes that monthly access to Paramount costs just $9, so fans should not complain about the commercials.

The first gala of the world’s best MMA league broadcast by the Paramount+ streaming network is behind us. There were a number of negative comments very quickly, especially from US fans, who complained about the strenuous pace of the preliminary card, the very long commercial blocks, and the lack of coverage of the fighters’ exits into the octagon.

Dana White was quick to respond to criticism from American fans. The UFC chief responded to those who complained about the huge amount of advertising during the UFC 324 broadcast.

– I haven’t seen what the transmission looked like yet, but everything is being fine-tuned. (Monthly) access costs $9. You don’t pay, so cuz you don’t know how much, and those guys from Paramount have to make money somehow, too, after all.

Dana White confirmed that indeed, the Paramount+ people alone decide how many commercials will be shown. The UFC chief praised the beginning of cooperation with the streaming platform’s decision-makers, adding that there is always a deal to be made.

– It’s a fact that they paid a huge amount of money, so they dictate the terms. On the other hand, we get along great from the beginning, they are optimistic about the work and somehow we will get along.

Another UFC gala broadcast awaits us this Saturday. At UFC 325, Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes will face off in a rematch.
