Daniel Cormier outlined a black scenario regarding the future of Sean O’Malley, according to the former UFC champion, the fighter of the bantamweight division is screwed.

Daniel Cormier decided to analyze the current situation of Sean O’Malley and address it accordingly. The former UFC light heavyweight champion does not believe that the rematch fight between Sugar and Merab Dvalishvili will be any different than the first fight.

O’Malley underwent surgery after his defeat to Merab, then rehabilitated, and still does not have another fight set up. Sean loudly demands, claiming that he came out for the clash with the Georgian injured, however, according to Daniel Cormier, O’Malley’s willingness will be of little use.

– If Sean O’Malley hasn’t made some amazing changes in his wrestling and grappling, in his ground skills and in his work from the back then things will be very, very difficult for him.

Daniel Cormier hinted at what Sean O’Malley should do to make the progression needed to count for the belt again.

– I think Sean O’Malley should devote a whole year to wrestling training. He just needs to learn how to defend takedown attempts, he needs to follow the path set by Umar Nurmagomedov.

Ben Askren asked Daniel Cormier about what will happen to O’Malley’s future career if he loses to Merab Dvalishvili.

– He’s screwed He will be in the same position as Jiri Prochazka. The Czech talked about how many changes he has made, the progress he has made and how good a player he has become, but honestly I haven’t seen many changes in his game.

Daniel Cormier has indicated that O’Malley’s only chance to win the rematch with Merab Dvalishvili is to send the Georgian to the boards after the punches.

– It seems that the only chance for Sean to win is to knock Merab out, he has to turn off the light for him. Otherwise, he will go and push like a programmed one. Dvalishvili will apply pressure and follow O’Malley so that he will eventually bring him down. When you fight such a rival, at some point you ask yourself, “Do I really have what it takes to deal with this guy?”.
