Donald Trump announces big UFC event at White House

Donald Trump has announced a major UFC gala to be held by Dana White in Washington, D.C., on grounds just outside the White House.

Donald Trump has announced that Dana White will hold a UFC gala on the White House estate. This is to be one of the events organized to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the US Declaration of Independence. The event is not expected to take place until 2026 at the earliest, and Trump announced that 20,000-25,000 fans will attend the championship event in Washington.

The men have been friends for more than a decade, and Trump has made numerous appearances at events of the world’s best MMA league. Dana White has also supported Donald Trump on more than one occasion, including during the recent presidential campaign.

Following Donald Trump’s announcement of this news, there was an immediate flurry of fighters expressing their desire to fight at the event. Merab Dvalishvili, Shara Magomedov and even Karolina Kowalkiewicz were quick to comment on the video posted on the UFC organization’s profile on IG.

Of course, although President Trump has expressed his desire to hold the gala on the green space lying right next to the White House it is not impossible that the UFC gala will ultimately be held a few kilometers away at the Capital One Arena. This is the facility where the Washington Wizards basketball team of the NBA league play their games.

Indeed, it is doubtful that Dana White would suddenly change his opinion on MMA events held outdoors, where bad weather conditions can affect both the course, interruption and even cancellation of an event at the last minute or even after it has already begun.
