Dustin Poirier has been hinting for some time that we will learn details about his return to the UFC octagon in the near future. The experienced American fought his last professional bout in June at UFC 302 when he succumbed to Islam Makhachev in the fifth round of their fight for the lightweight belt.

The American’s post was referenced on Instagram by ESPN journalists. The editors delved into the statistics and accurately noted that if Poirier enters the octagon in 2025 it will be his fifteenth consecutive year fighting in the UFC.
It’s this valuable hint that should be followed, and fans should look forward to Dustin Poirier’s return at one of the first major, numbered PPV galas in 2025.
