Madars Fleminas and Igor Michaliszyn will meet at the KSW 100 gala in Gliwice. The duel of strong welterweights will take place on Saturday, November 16.
The KSW 100 gala will feature a bout between top welterweight contenders. The number two ranked fighter in this weight category, Latvian Madars Fleminas (13-5), will face number four, Igor Michaliszyn (11-3). The duel will take place already on November 16 at PreZero Arena Gliwice.
Madars Fleminas will return to the round cage after an impressive victory over Artur Szczepaniak, whom he knocked out at a gala in Paris, for which he was awarded a bonus. The popular “Latvian Express” most often wins by knocking out his rivals. So far, he has sent his opponents to the boards seven times, and once scored a victory by submission.
Fleminas fought eighteen professional fights, thirteen of which he finished as a triumphant winner. Before entering KSW, almost all of his professional fights took place in England. Most of them under the flag of the Cage Warriors organization, where, among other things, he knocked out Daniel Skibinski. Felminas was scheduled to fight at the XTB KSW 98 gala in September, but an injury eliminated him from the event.
Igor Michaliszyn is a former contender for the championship belt and the number four ranked KSW welterweight. He has four fights fought in the round cage, three of which he won. In May of this year, he entered the championship confrontation with Adrian Bartosinski as a substitute, but had to acknowledge his superiority in the cage. The loss interrupted a great series of five triumphs in a row by the Silesian Cage Club representative.
However, Igor quickly returned to the path of victories. In August, he again took the fight as a substitute and defeated Oton Jasse. The 28-year-old from Dabrowa Gornicza has won eleven fights, seven of which he finished before time, and four times he did it already in the first round. Michaliszyn is a cross-sectional fighter who has knocked out his rivals four times and won three times by submission.
