The undisputed and undefeated champion Mateusz DON DIEGO Kubiszyn successfully defended his GROMDA bare-knuckle fighting federation championship title for the fourth time. During the GROMDA 26: POLISH COLOSSEUM event, he defeated Fifena HEAVY HEART Arami in the 15th minute of the final, unlimited fifth round.
“Bloody Friday” in Pionki was packed with excitement, and the championship bout featuring DON DIEGO and HEAVYHEART was set to be an epic and historic event. Mateusz Kubiszyn won the title in 2023 by defeating Bartłomiej BALBOA Domalik, and then defended it in fights against Łukasz GOAT Parobiec, BALBOA (rematch), and Jakub SŁOMKA Słomka. His first foreign opponent was the Berlin fighter, the biggest loudmouth in the world of GROMDZIARZY—HEAVY HEART.
It was an exciting and brutal battle, and the successive cuts on the gladiators’ faces only made them even more determined to tip the scales in their favor. The fifth round has no time limit—it’s a battle to the death! DON DIEGO had more stamina left and attacked more often, though HEAVY HEART certainly had… a plan to end the fight. But it was a cunning—even dirty—move, involving taking DON DIEGO to… the ground and attempting a chokehold. The challenger misunderstood the rules of the sport and was rightly disqualified by the referee.
DON DIEGO’s eleventh victory in GROMDZIA is now a reality, and the champion himself—despite clear signs of a grueling battle in the ring—announced: “I’m safe and sound…” In two weeks, I’ll be as good as new.” Interestingly, he posed with… a knocked-out tooth in his hand.
In the Superfights, Paweł ESIOR Wróblewski defeated Daniel SKALPEL Gładysz by KO in the 1st round, and Adam ZIOMEK Ziomek defeated Daniel PIASEK Piaskowski. After being counted out several times, PIASEK was stopped by his corner early in the 5th round. With this victory, ZIOMEK may have moved closer to a fight against DON DIEGO. After all, since his brother Mateusz ZIOMUŚ Ziomek is already the Nitro GROMDA Champion, why wouldn’t the Ziomek siblings want to claim both titles?
The White-and-Reds played brilliantly in the POLAND vs. ENGLAND match. ROMUŚ, GRUBY, PITBULL, ŚWIR, and WARIAT did a fantastic job, while only KANAREK suffered a defeat—his hands were badly battered, and unfortunately, he couldn’t continue the fight.
Denis ROMUŚ “Romek” knocked out John “ANIMAL” Anthony in the 3rd round, while Piotr “GRUBY” Więcławski knocked the fight out of Tyrone “BAD TO THE BONE” Eliffe’s head in the very first round. Also in the opening round, Mateusz ŚWIR Wijas took care of Zack ZED Williams, and in the second round, Dawid PITBULL Puszczewicz defeated Bradley DYNAMITE Donovan. s
GROMDY President Mariusz Grabowski announced an additional fight, featuring Marcin WARIAT Oskroba (initially a reserve on the roster) against Jacques CARMELO Yomkil, who had previously defeated Maksym PIŁA Pilarski in one minute. WARIAT, from Mińsk Mazowiecki, rose to the challenge and won by TKO in the second round.
Marek KANAREK Antosiewicz, on the other hand, pounded Jacek MAULER Meakin for a long time and had the Englishman on the canvas. Unfortunately, in the third round, the Pole was unable to continue the fight, as both of his hands were badly battered (likely with broken bones).
Finally, a bout that will go down in GROMDA history—on one side, Black Power and Brice KIMBO Kenfack; on the other, Polska Siła and Bartłomiej MACU Mac. There’s never been a wild ride like this before—battle after battle, and ultimately a war without… a clear winner. Both were utterly battered, broken, and exhausted. The decision was made to stop the fight, and a rematch is surely inevitable.
