Henry Cejudo has hinted at a suitable rival for Merab Dvalishvili instead of a silly rematch with Sean O’Malley. The former two-time UFC champion suggested a specific name.

Henry Cejudo does not want Merab Dvalishvili to fight Sean O’Malley again. The Olympic champion and former two-time UFC champion said there is a better solution. Of course, all in view of the Georgian’s career and results.

Merab Dvalishvili reached for the championship belt of the bantamweight category by knocking Sean O’Malley off his throne. Then The Machine dealt with Umar Nurmagomedov successfully defending the belt of the division up to 62 kilograms.

Henry Cejudo, in an interview with Home of Fight, criticized the idea of a Merab rematch with Sean O’Malley.

– I think it’s silly. It’s not like Sean O’Malley is the king of PPV. His fights do crappy sales. In my opinion, the opponent the UFC should give Merab is Cory Sandhagen.

Henry Cejudo has identified Cory Sandhagen as a good opponent for Merab Dvalishvili. Cejudo listed Sandhagen‘s strengths that could make the duel colorful.

– A fight with Sandhagen would make a lot of sense. Sandhagen is a clever and out-of-the-box fighter, he could beat Merab. I think Dvalishvili would beat Cory, but the American has techniques in his arsenal that could put the Georgian’s lights out. That is the cool touch in this clash.

Cory Sandhagen lost by decision to Umar Nurmagomedov. The American also has losses to Peter Yan and Aljamain Sterling to his credit. It seems that currently Sandhagen would have to beat the aforementioned Yan or, for example, win against O’Malley to earn the right to fight Merab.
