Henry Cejudo has talked about complications from an eye injury. The former two-time UFC champion announced that he has a maximum of one fight left.

Henry Cejudo is still struggling with the consequences of the eye injury he suffered during his clash with Song Yadong at the UFC gala in Seattle. The Chinese fighter stuck his finger in the former UFC champion’s eye which ultimately led to a premature end to the fight.

Henry Cejudo was a guest of journalist Mike Bohn on the latest episode of the Bohnfire podcast. During the conversation, the experienced fighter talked about the unpleasant consequences of an eye injury.

– I’m going to sound like a crybaby, but this is the worst injury I’ve had. The first doctor told me that the situation would improve after a month. On the other hand, I still see double every time I watch TV. It is accentuated when I lie down. Therefore, I consulted another specialist. I consulted Sean O’Malley’s doctor. Let me tell you more Korean Zombie had the same symptoms and that led to his retirement. When I look down I see my feet double. It’s not that I don’t see, I just see double.

Henry Cejudo discussed his situation with his spouse. The Olympic gold medalist has indicated that he wants to fight one more bout.

– I talked to my wife and I think I have a maximum of one more fight left. If it is possible to fight Song again then I will be happy. If not with him then I will accept any opponent offered by the UFC. Honestly as a father I want to play with my children, I don’t want to lose an eye. This is how I feel.

Cejudo praised the UFC organization for their approach and how they have enabled him to make a name for himself and achieve great success over the years.

– I have no problem with leaving after a loss, but I don’t want to end my career with a fight in which my rival put his finger in my eye. I am grateful to the UFC, I love Dana White and all the staff. They have taken great care of me and enabled me to build a name and provide a decent future for me and my family. At the moment I don’t know what they are planning for me, but I would like to fight in the fall. Unless my eye doesn’t heal, in which case it will mean I won’t be back.

Henry Cejudo has fought a total of 15 fights in the UFC organization. The fighter reached for the championship titles of the flyweight and cockerel categories. The popular “Triple C” won ten fights and recorded five defeats.
