Top welterweight fighters will collide at the XTB KSW 105 gala in Gliwice. The number two ranked fighter in this weight class, Igor Michaliszyn (12-3), will face number four, Artur Szczepaniak (12-3). The bout will take place on April 26 at PreZero Arena Gliwice.
Igor Michaliszyn has five fights fought in the KSW round cage, four of which he won. Last May he entered the championship confrontation with Adrian Bartosinski as a substitute, but had to acknowledge his superiority in the fight. The loss interrupted a great series of five triumphs in a row by the Silesian Cage Club representative.
Igor quickly returned to the road of victories. In August, he again took a fight as a substitute and defeated Oton Jasse, and at the XTB KSW 100 gala he won against Madars Fleminas. The 28-year-old from Dabrowa Gornicza has won twelve fights, seven of which he finished before time, and four times he did it already in the first round. Michaliszyn is a cross-sectional fighter, who has knocked out his rivals four times and won three times by submission.
Artur Szczepaniak fought seven fights in the round cage, five of which he won. In 2023 he competed for the welterweight championship belt, but had to acknowledge the superiority of Adrian Bartosinski in it. The popular “King Arthur” last fought last December and quickly knocked out Alex Lohoré.
The 28-year-old, who lives and trains daily in Belgium, has fifteen fights to his credit, twelve of which he won. Szczepaniak is famous for sending his rivals to the boards. Ten times he has triumphed before time, of which seven times by knockouts and three times by submission. The knockout in his performance in the fight with Brianen Hoo was awarded a bonus for the best finish of the evening.
