Ilya Topuria has responded to criticism from Conor McGregor. The UFC champion responded to the Irishman’s words.
Ilia Topuria defended his featherweight title. The Georgian faced Max Holloway at UFC 308 and knocked out the Hawaiian in great style. This duel was followed by Conor McGregor, a former double champion of the UFC organization.
Conor McGregor posted a post online in which he referred to the fight between Ilia Topuria and Max Holloway. The Irishman wrote.
– A good little player, unfortunately too small to mean anything. He was whipped around by Max.
Ilya Topuria made these comments after the gala during an interview with a reporter from the US station ESPN.
– I don’t know what to say. Je** him. He cheats every time about returning to competing. He insults everyone in the UFC, talks that no fighter interests him. Brother you are f***ing sick, you have problems. You are fucked up in the head. He needs to learn how to show respect to people because he will end up very bad.
Ilia Topuria went OFF on Conor McGregor in response to his tweet:
– Championship Rounds (@ChampRDS) October 27, 2024
“Honest to god, don’t cross paths with me NEVER ever. Because I’m gonna f*** you up whenever I see you.” 😳#UFC #MMA #UFC308pic.twitter.com/xPlfnrQ1zx
– If you have values like his then you end up poorly. I swear before God that if our paths cross I will disintegrate him every time we meet.
It is clear that Topuria is not fond of the former two-time UFC champion and does not have a good opinion of him. The 36-year-old McGregor fought his last fight in July 2021, and although he had a fight already set for UFC 303 he ultimately did not enter the octagon in June and will most likely not return to the cage until early 2025.
