Jack Della Maddalena defeated Belal Muhammad after a capital fight at UFC 315 and became the new UFC welterweight division champion.

Belal Muhammad and Jack Della Maddalena faced each other in the evening fight of the UFC 315 gala in Montreal. The duel for the UFC welterweight belt was contracted for five rounds. For the champion, it was the first defense of the title while the Australian was facing the belt for the first time.
