Jamahal Hill has commented on the fight between Alex Pereira and Khalil Rountree. The former UFC champion surprised the opinion by suggesting that Rountree could threaten the Brazilian.
Alex Pereira will face the defense of his welterweight championship belt at UFC 307. The event will take place on Saturday, October 5. Jamahal Hill commented on the Pereira vs Rountree fight. Most of the experts, fighters and fans typify a quick victory for Pereira. Hill, however, has a different opinion.
The former UFC champion, during an interview with Aljamain Sterling, said that he believes Khalil Rountree has the attributes to surprise Alex Pereira in the standup. Jamahal Hill pointed out that the Brazilian has had problems in the past with fighters who fight in the position of a handicapper.
– Khalil can be a conundrum for Pereira for the reason that he fights with his left hand at the back. He poses a threat in that position. Looking at Pereira’s kickboxing career, left-handers always give him problems. Has he defeated left-handers? Yes, but I haven’t once seen him dominate any left-handed fighter who is dangerous in that position. We saw him with Jiri, but Jiri only changed his positioning to left back. He was stiff on his feet in the process. He didn’t gain anything from it.
Jamahal Hill referred to specific fights. “Sweet Dreams” mentioned Poatan ‘ s skirmishes with Bruno Silva and his second fight in the UFC against Israel Adesanya.
– We saw this most in his fight with Bruno Silva. People wondered why the shorter, measuring 183 centimeters Bruno Silva gave him a problem. Why? Well, Bruno Silva can fight in a left-handed position. In the second fight with Adesanya, take a look at how Izzy is positioned? I pay attention to such details. If you are dangerous in a left-handed position, he is in trouble. It is definitely difficult for him then.
