Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree will face each other in main event of the UFC on April 26 in Kansas City.
Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree will meet in the evening fight of the UFC Kansas City gala. The duel has been contracted for five rounds at the welterweight category limit. It will be a clash between a former UFC champion and a recent contender for the belt.
Jamahal Hill has fought a total of just three fights in the octagon of the world’s best MMA league since January 2023, two of which he lost. During that time, as many as three fights involving Hill have gone undefeated. The American is hoping that he will finally be able to get back on the winning track, and at the same time his health will be good which will allow him to be more active.
Khalil Rountree, until October, boasted a great series of five wins in a row thanks to which he faced a chance to win the championship belt. However, the 35-year-old Khalil Rountree lost to Alex Pereira via knockout at the end of the fourth round. Both fans and Dana White appreciated Khalil’s attitude and complimented the fact that he put Poatan through a tough test.
Both Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree will be looking to redeem themselves after the defeat, and at the same time maintain their ranking to avoid falling out of contention for the highest goals. As of this moment, Hill is fourth in the ranking, while Rountree is ranked seventh.
