Jan Blachowicz suggests Jon Jones is afraid of Tom Aspinall

Jan Blachowicz decided to stick a pin in Jon Jones, during a recent interview the former UFC champion stated that the American is afraid of Tom Aspinall.

Jan Blachowicz at one point in his career was very much in demand for a fight with Jon Jones. Unfortunately, that fight never happened, and it would have arguably been the most cash-strapped fight of his career for the Pole. The former champion of the UFC welterweight organization has recovered from shoulder surgery and is already contracted for another bout.

Jan Blachowicz will face Carlos Ulberg at the UFC gala in London in March. The Pole must not lose this fight, because a possible defeat could completely deprive him of the chances for his next big fights.

Jan Blachowicz gave an interview to the American portal MMAFighting. During the conversation Janek stuck a pin in Jon Jones. Blachowicz referred to the current situation at the top of the heavyweight category. According to the Cieszyn native, Jon Jones is afraid of interim champion Tom Aspinall and therefore prefers to fight Alex Pereira.

– I think Jon Jones does, because Alex Pereira is now a big star in the UFC. Everyone knows the Poatan. However, I think Jones should fight against Aspinall, but I think he is afraid of him. Tom Aspinall is someone who can really stop and beat Jon. I think Bones believes that in the fight he will bring Pereira down and control him on the first floor. With Aspinall, it wouldn’t be that easy.
