Jan Blachowicz thinks Alex Pereira can beat Jon Jones

Jan Blachowicz is impressed by Alex Pereira’s accomplishments and hopes to see the Brazilian move up to the heavyweight division and face Jon Jones or Tom Aspinall.

Alex Pereira is one of the biggest stars of the UFC organization. Jan Blachowicz had the opportunity to face the excellent kickboxer in the octagon of the best MMA league in the world at UFC 291. The duel in Utah was very evenly matched, but in the end the judges scored a split decision win for Pereira.

The former UFC welterweight champion in an interview with Home of Fight had very warm words for Poatan. Jan Blachowicz is impressed by Alex Pereira’s achievements in the light heavyweight division and would love to see him in action in a higher category.

– I would like to see him in the heavyweight category in fights with Jon Jones or Tom Aspinall, but the Englishman has an eye problem. What Alex has accomplished at welterweight is amazing, congratulations to him. It’s been a really beautiful road, I’m jealous, in a good way. I’m a fan of his, that’s why I would like him to go to a division higher. Well, but let’s remember that we still have some good guys in 93 kg, also we will see.

Janek stressed that due to the knockout power of his punch, Pereira could beat Jon Jones.

– I think he can beat Jones. Pereira has a knockout punch, so he can finish it before time. Maybe they will make this fight at the UFC’s White House gala.

Both Jan Blachowicz and Alex Pereira have yet to have their next fight put together. The Pole tied Bogdan Guskov in his last appearance, while the Brazilian defeated Magomed Ankalaev.
