Jay Jay Wilson thanked Mateusz Gamrot for sparring together and ended the preparatory camp for the PFL tournament.

Jay Jay Wilson returns to professional competition after an unsuccessful 2024, in which he scored only one grappling start. The New Zealander will face Mads Burnell in the quarterfinals of the PFL lightweight tournament.

Jay Jay Wilson represents American Top Team and has been sparring regularly with Mateusz Gamrot in recent weeks. The 27-year-old “The Maori Kid” decided to sum up the training camp. Wilson, who has two straight wins over Tokov and Barnaoui, thanked Gamrot for sparring.

– The training camp is slowly coming to an end. I feel amazing, and the weight is right on point. Having Gamrot as a sparring partner has allowed me to polish my skills. I am ready more than ever. A big thank you to my coaches and colleagues on the mat who helped me get to this point. It’s time to step into the cage and take what’s mine.

Mateusz Gamrot further provided a photo posted by his clubmate and added a brief description. The Pole also appreciated the sparring with Wilson and assured that he is ready to give a good fight.

– Another great sparring session saved. Wilson is ready to give a show. You’re going with it brother. UFC still waiting for your call.

Gamrot also once again addressed the UFC making it clear that he is ready to return and is waiting for a call about his next octagon fight.
