Joe Pyfer is combative and wants to be the first fighter to knock out Kelvin Gastelum.
Joe Pyfer will fight his sixth fight in the UFC organization at Saturday’s gala in Mexico. The American is looking to record another impressive win on his record. The duel with Kelvin Gastelum will be the toughest challenge for “Bodybagz” so far in his career.
Joe Pyfer is used to finishing his rivals with blows very often. Only two of the Pennsylvania fighter’s sixteen fights ended in referee decisions. Here is where the problem arises, however, as the experienced Gastelum is the complete opposite of Pyfer in this regard.
The 28-year-old American will have a significant advantage in physical conditions and is looking to become the first fighter to succeed in knocking out Gastelum.
– I’m a good grappler, but above all I’m an excellent striker. That’s what I think, and as a result, I want to be the first fighter to knock Kelvin out. As soon as I saw the offer to fight Gastelum I knew it was a great fight for me.
– I intend to prove my quality. I am moderately interested in what other fighters in our category think of me. I always look for finishing in fights and I have the strength to do it. Recall Kelvin’s fight with Adesanya, he looked great then was in shape, and still three or four times he landed on the boards after Israel’s punches.
Joe Pyfer and Kelvin Gastelum will face each other in one of the most exciting fights of the main card of the UFC gala in Mexico. More than 22,000 fans will be seated in the stands, however Pyfer is not worried about that. The fighter, concluding his interview with American journalists, said that when the octagon doors close, the nationality and country in which the event takes place doesn’t matter, a fight is a fight.
