Johnny Walker suffered a serious injury and had to pull out of next weekend’s UFC 311 gala.

Johnny Walker was scheduled to face Bogdan Guskov at UFC 311. However, the Brazilian will not fight the representative of Uzbekistan because he picked up an injury that ruled him out of the big event.

Johnny Walker hasn’t had the best run lately. First, his first fight against Magomed Ankalaev was declared a no-contest. Then in the rematch, Johnny Walker lost to Ankalaev by knockout.

As if that wasn’t enough, the Brazilian was quickly knocked out by Volkan Oezdemir in June. The poor performance translated into a drop in the UFC rankings and the 32-year-old is currently ranked 10th among welterweights.

Johnny Walker posted a video on Instagram. The player addressed the fans and gave them bad news.

– I have bad news, I had to withdraw from UFC 311 due to a serious injury. Also, I will not fight at the gala next week. I am devastated, I have spent a lot of time preparing, weeks of hard training. I wanted to come back and give you a show however it will not happen now. I wish Bogdan all the best, I hope we can find a replacement rival for him. He probably also put a lot of effort into the preparations, so let’s hope he fights. Thank you very much to everyone who says good, positive things about me and sends me messages.
