Jon Jones is not about to take a long break, the UFC champion has revealed that he is already in contract negotiations for his next fight.
Jon Jones proved his greatness at UFC 309, where he completely dominated and knocked out Stipe Miocic with a spinner in the third round of the championship bout. Jones defended his championship belt and defeated a fighter considered by many to be one of the best heavyweights in UFC history.
After the fight, it seemed that Jon Jones might take an extended break from competing again. Especially given how great the discrepancies were regarding the fighter’s future plans. Jon Jones had been talking for weeks about his desire to fight Alex Pereira while Dana White openly said that there was no chance of that fight and Jones was to fight Tom Aspinall.
During an interview with The Schmo, Jon Jones confirmed that he is in contract negotiations for his next fight in the UFC octagon.
– Negotiations are currently underway with the UFC. We are talking about what is going to happen next. I am already training, preparing again, and I feel really good. The team is behind me, they support me. We will be ready for any opportunity that comes to us. Yes, I will probably fight in 2025 it is possible.
Traditionally, it comes out that everything will depend on the money and the amount of the offer the UFC will present. Although Jon Jones even mentioned earlier that if he doesn’t get a fight with Poatan he is ready to end his career he also threw in the fact that an astronomical amount of money might tempt him to pick up the gauntlet and fight the interim champion from England.
