Jorge Masvidal has once again challenged Leon Edwards to a fight. The American has been demanding a duel with the Englishman in the UFC for many years.
Jorge Masvidal hasn’t fought in a UFC octagon since April 2023, but despite this he is still actively following the situation in the best MMA league in the world. The 40-year-old American got acquainted with the results of the London gala and decided to seize the moment.
Jorge Masvidal is again demanding a fight with Leon Edwards. The Englishman lost to Sean Brady, and Masvidal wants to take advantage of the situation and renew the challenge thrown towards Rocky in the past. The two fighters have no affection for each other, and the American Top Team representative believes he is capable of beating the fragile Edwards.
The veteran of the UFC organization issued the challenge in a podcast aired on Submission Radio.
– If the UFC wants to make it happen then give me Leon, and then I will fight whoever holds the belt at the moment. I know Dana White will see my statement.
Jorge Masvidal believes he is better than the former UFC welterweight champion in every facet regardless of form.
– I know that he will not be able to match me wrestling for five rounds. So I don’t have to worry about bringing him down, while in stand-up he is very soft compared to me. If we don’t count the fights with Usman, I actually beat my rivals before time, while he wins all his fights by decisions. Compared to me, he’s a fragile guy, and I want to prove what a cracker he is when we find ourselves together in the octagon.
Jorge Masvidal has lost four fights in a row in the UFC organization. Surprisingly, despite these losses, the American does not lose his confidence and believes not only in making it to a clash with a rival with whom he has a conflict, but also that he will be able to get a win in this fight.
