Josh Emmett and Lerone Murphy will fight a five-round bout that will highlight the UFC Vegas 105 event, a clash between two fighters ranked in the UFC‘s featherweight division. The American is currently ranked eighth while the Englishman is ranked eleventh.
Josh Emmett is undoubtedly the better known of the two fighters. The 40-year-old Team Alpha Male representative has fought for the UFC interim championship belt in the up to 66 kilogram category in the past. Emmett is on a very long hiatus, as his last fight was in December 2023 when he impressively knocked out Bryce Mitchell. It will be almost a year and a half before the American enters the octagon again.
Lerone Murphy remains undefeated in professional MMA. The Manchester Top Team representative fought two fights last year, in which he defeated Edson Barboza and Dan Ige. Murphy has fought sixteen fights in his career, 15 of which he won and recorded 1 draw.
The Englishman has already managed to comment on the juxtaposition on his social media.
