Kacper Koziorzębski defeated Juracek after a solid stand-up battle at KSW 99

Kacper Koziorzębski was minimally better than Matus Juracek at the KSW 99 event in Gliwice. Koziorzębski won the stand-up battle after a non-unanimous decision by the judges.

The second fight of the evening at KSW 99 in Gliwice featured Matus Juracek and Kacper Koziorzębski. Although the Pole has definitely more experience in the KSW cage, however, it was the Czech who was ranked higher before the fight.

Both Juracek and Koziorzębski enjoy stand-up exchanges, and fans rubbed their hands together hoping for a fierce brawl in the KSW round cage.

The players started the fight strongly by exchanging blows. Juracek hit nicely, however Koziorzębski responded with a combination and Matus wobbled on his feet. Czech hit with a good series. Very good exchange at short range. The Pole is imposing the pace of the fight. Kacper Koziorzębski attacks nicely with kicks mixing low kicks with middle kicks. Great spin by the Pole, however, hits Jurack’s guard. Matus hits with long straight kicks. Spin attempt from the Czech and another good straight from Jurack. End of the round.

Koziorzębski tries to close down Juracek at the net and bring out the series in close range. Juracek escapes to the side and sets himself up for counter-strikes. Good low kick by Matus. A solid attack by Kacper. The Pole moves the fight to the mat, and Juracek immediately turns to a kimura. Czech cleverly transitions to a guillotine. Koziorzębski bails out and we return to the stand-up. Another great takedown by the Pole. Koziorzębski works from the top and attacks ground and pound however the Czech sweeps and now he is the one in a better position. Kacper gets up and breaks the clinch with a strong elbow. Good, accurate uppercut by Jurack.

A very nice low kick attack from Koziorzębski and the Czech is clearly already feeling the effects of more low kicks. A calmer round than the previous ones. Juracek is very static, while the Pole doesn’t impose so much pressure anymore. Good combinations performed by Koziorzębski. Matus is clearly betting on single, strong punches. The Pole dug into his opponent’s body. End of the fight. Kacper Koziorzębski defeated Matus Jurack by unanimous decision of the judges.
