Karolina Kowalkiewicz lost to Denise Gomes at the UFC Vegas 100 gala. The Pole succumbed to the Brazilian after a unanimous decision by the judges.
Karolina Kowalkiewicz and Denise Gomes faced each other in the octagon at the UFC Vegas 100 gala. The ladies’ duel was contracted at the strawweight category limit. The Kowalkiewicz vs Gomes fight was the final bout of the preliminary card of the UFC gala in Las Vegas.
Karolina Kowalkiewicz has traditionally been preparing for her fight against the Brazilian at American Top Team in Florida. The Pole has been undergoing training camps at one of the best MMA clubs in the world for several years.
The players started the fight by exchanging low kicks. A very strong right hand performed by Denise Gomes. Karolina brought out a kick to the body of her rival. The Brazilian responded with the same. A very strong attack by Gomes, who hit the Pole with two punches, and then continued the assault with a combination of punches. The Brazilian hit a knee and unexpectedly got into a clinch with Kowalkiewicz. Heavy physical work by the fighters. Our representative’s opponent is starting to get the ball rolling and her attacks are getting more and more creative. At the end of the round Gomes made an attempt to attack with elbows.
Kowalkiewicz entered her rival with a series of punches, however, she buckled in her attack and Gomes first clinched and then began working to take the fight to the mat. Denise attacked with strong knees. Gomes began to back away a bit. A nice exchange of punches in the middle of the octagon. Denise Gomes hits with a strong right. Karolina tried to get behind her rival’s back, however, nothing came out of it. The Pole lost a good position. Karolina Kowalkiewicz lost to Denise Gomes after the judges’ decision.
